A balanced diet is an important part of college success and contributes to both short- and long-term health. Choosing the right foods can be confusing, but we are here to help! We offer free nutrition counseling and other initiatives geared toward improving your nutrition knowledge.


Nutrition Counseling

Meet with a registered dietitian one-on-on to discuss your personal nutrition needs and health goals. Nutrition counseling is free for students. To make an appointment call the Longest Student Health Center at 662-325-7539.


Food Freedom Support Group

This group is for individuals who have challenges regarding nutrition and disordered eating behaviors. The facilitators use the philosophy of Intuitive Eating to assist group members in improving their relationship with food. The goal is for group members to learn how to listen to their bodies and make peace with food.


Healthy Campus Week

In collaboration with a Partnership for a Healthier America, we host several events during the last week of September to help make the healthy choice the easy choice.
